[kubuntu] how to install kde 4.3
If users are and how much of kubuntu and kde you have updated to version 4.3 you have certainly noticed that and how much is uninstalled, which because of dependencies, can not be reinstalled.
The problem occurs for the dependencies of the following packages: kxsldbg, Kommander, klinkstatus and kfilereplace.
They have been updated to version 4.3 but has not been ported to what (hopefully happen soon)!
The only way to run what is to use the 3.5 versions of the packages listed above. To do so download the file. Deb from following links: kxsldbg, Kommander, klinkstatus and kfilereplace.
The links are for version 9.04 (jaunty) but you can follow the same procedure on different versions simply trying to packages.ubuntu.com packages indicted.
Once you get the 4 files. Deb, do:
- sudo dpkg-ik *. deb (install the 4 packages)
- sudo apt-get install quanta (quanta install)
That’s it! What is beautiful and functional.
At this point, you may receive notices by boring of kpackagekit (or other package managers) to notify you of available updates for packages that we have done the downgrade.
You can easily solve this problem as follows:
open synaptic> select the package you> go to menu “package”> click on “Block version”
Ripetetelo for all 4 packages and have also removed the notices!
Consideration: I regret a lot but what I read about how much needs to help programmers who ported to KDE4. Personally it is a program that I consider essential and thehighest level.
