Unlocking ’s iPhone with firmware 3.0.1

Only a few hours ago Apple has released the new 3.0.1 firmware for iPhone 3G 3GS 3 2G, obviously not to be confused with the firmware 3.1 that is still under development and testing. This update, issued a short distance of time from version 3.0, fixes a serious vulnerability in the software management of SMS messages that might allow an attacker to take control of an iPhone without the knowledge of its owner.
