Attention to new waves of viruses Koobface

Let’s go back to talking about Koobface, the virus that is infesting the major social network, and particularly Twitter and Facebook.

Koobface is a virus that spreads via links, behind a fake video, link to copies of itself to infect profiles on social network. Currently Koobface has slowed its spread, thanks to the efforts of the sites to limit the spread.

Twitter is beginning to filter out the dangerous link

In the months of June and July we have emphasized the wave of attacks where the victim was Twitter, the first case Just (dot) ru and further Koobface.

In both cases the main feature was the spam on user profiles of links pointing to malicious sites containing malware.

Just to intervene in this direction, Twitter has started to filter the URLs classified as hazardous, as confirmed by Mikko Hypp
